E-mail Filters
What is an e-mail filter?
E-mail filters are used to categorize, sort or block incoming e-mail messages
according to specified criteria like a defined sender, e-mail header or body
content. E-mail filters have to do with the automatic processing of incoming
messages according to the settings that you have chosen. Usually, filters are
used to block spam/junk e-mail and to redirect messages to another mailbox.
How do I add an e-mail filter?
To add a filter to an existing mailbox, you must complete the following
settings:
Alias: Select the e-mail alias you would like to set filter for.
Where: Specify the location of the text to match.
Condition: Choose the condition that will be valid for the text to match.
Text to match: Type the exact word or phrase, which will be detected by the
filter.
Action: Choose whether the filtered messages should be deleted or redirected to
a different e-mail address.
E-mail: Enter a valid e-mail address to which the filtered messages will be
redirected.
When you are ready, click on the Add Filter button.
